Tahj Mowry is an American actor and singer best known for his roles as T.J. Henderson on the sitcom Smart Guy, Teddy on Full House, the voice of Wade Load on Kim Possible, and Tucker Dobbs on Baby Daddy. He is the younger brother of twin actresses Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry.
He has older twin sisters, Tia and Tamera Mowry, and a younger brother, Tavior. His mother is of Afro-Bahamian descent and his father has English/British and Irish ancestry. He attended school in California (including time in the Westlake Village / West Hills area) and later studied at Pepperdine University. He also played football in high school and briefly at the college level.
Mowry began acting as a young child. He made an early appearance on Who’s the Boss? and gained notice with a recurring role as Teddy, Michelle Tanner’s friend, on Full House (early 1990s). He also appeared on his sisters’ show Sister, Sister and had guest roles on various series.
His breakout role came as T.J. Henderson, a child prodigy skipped ahead in school, on the WB sitcom Smart Guy (1997–1999). The show highlighted his comedic timing and made him a recognizable young star. He later voiced Wade Load, the tech-savvy genius, on Disney’s animated series Kim Possible, a role often noted as a nod to his Smart Guy character.
In the 2000s he appeared in Disney Channel movies including Hounded, The Poof Point, and Seventeen Again (alongside his sisters). From 2012 to 2017 he starred as Tucker Dobbs on the Freeform (formerly ABC Family) comedy Baby Daddy, one of his most prominent adult roles.
He has continued acting in television and film projects into the 2020s and has also pursued singing and other entertainment work.
