Hyeri joined Girl’s Day in September 2010 as a new member alongside Yura, shortly after the group’s original debut. The group went on to achieve commercial success with hits such as “Twinkle Twinkle” and became one of the notable girl groups of the 2010s. Although group activities slowed after 2017, she remains a member.

She began acting in 2012 with a role in the drama Tasty Life. Her major breakthrough came in 2015 as Sung Deok-sun in the highly popular tvN series Reply 1988, which became one of the highest-rated Korean cable dramas of its time and earned her widespread recognition.
