Miranda Cosgrove (born Miranda Taylor Cosgrove on May 14, 1993) is an American actress, singer, producer, and philanthropist who rose from child star to enduring entertainment figure. Cosgrove was born in Los Angeles, California, as the only child of Tom Cosgrove (dry-cleaning business owner) and Chris (née Casey) Cosgrove (homemaker).
