Alcock began with commercials (Cadbury, KFC, Woolworths, etc.) and small television appearances, including Wonderland (2014). She appeared in Australian series such as Janet King, A Place to Call Home, Fighting Season, Pine Gap, Reckoning, and The Gloaming.
Her breakthrough came with the lead role of runaway teenager Meg in the Foxtel comedy-drama Upright (2019–2022), opposite Tim Minchin. The performance earned her a Casting Guild of Australia Rising Star Award and an AACTA nomination.
