Career

Song Seon-mi entered the entertainment industry after placing second in the 1996 Super Elite Model Contest. She made her acting debut in the 1997 SBS drama Model. In 1998 she appeared in the popular sitcom Soonpoong Clinic and made her film debut in the critically praised romantic comedy Art Museum by the Zoo, playing dual roles opposite Ahn Sung-ki.

She gained further attention with the comedy My Boss, My Hero (2001) and continued with both leading and supporting roles in television. Notable drama credits include Precious Family (2004), The Secret Lovers, Behind the White Tower, Golden Time (2012, for which she won an Excellence Award at the Korea Drama Awards), Miss Korea (2013), and the historical drama Blooded Palace: The War of Flowers (2013), in which she portrayed Crown Princess Lady Kang (Minhoe-bin Kang).
