Career
Čech began his senior career with Chmel Blšany (1999–2001) before moving to Sparta Prague (2001–2002). He then joined French club Rennes (2002–2004), where his performances attracted major interest.
In 2004 he transferred to Chelsea for a then-club-record fee for a goalkeeper (£7 million). Over 11 seasons at Chelsea (2004–2015) he became a club legend:
